Mimi Tsui Joins DART Insight and Communications as Senior Associate, Public Relations and Event Management

PR veteran brings 25+ years of experience as a Corporate Communications/Public Relations professional. Her strategic communications work has included plans, press releases, proposals, president’s messaging, HR memos to staff, executive summaries, annual reports, brochures, speeches, and website rebranding

Toronto— Victoria Ollers (CEO – Communications) and John Wright (CEO – Insight) of DART Insight and Communications Inc. are pleased to announce that Mimi Tsui is now a Senior Associate, Public Relations and Event Management.

Mimi’s experience is vast—having worked in PR agencies including Lee DDB Needham PR in Taipei, Taiwan, Hill & Knowlton Strategies, Weber Shandwick and GCI Group in Toronto—for clients including Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited, Microsoft, Birks, Mattel, Inc., Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Christian Dior Cosmetics, Spiegel Catalogues, TGI Fridays and Canadian Dermatology Association—and is fluent in Mandarin.

Mimi also served for more than a decade as Manager, Strategic Communications, Branding and Public Affairs for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (now CPA Canada) where she was the Program Director for the association’s Corporate Reporting Awards and led all sponsorship, stakeholder relations and marketing communications efforts. She also worked with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada to plan and incorporate a judging category for Crown corporations into the overall awards.

Mimi has a diverse assignment experience ranging from preparing online newsletters, press releases, president’s messaging, event scripting and remarks for the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC)—a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to link Canadian businesses with Aboriginal and minority-owned suppliers—to working with Swerve Design Group clients such as the Ontario Genomics Institute, the Electronics Product Stewardship Canada and Toronto Centre with their annual reports. Mimi has also provided content, copy and design advice for websites of The Change Foundation, Allen Leigh Recruiting, Penmore Financial and Pack Pro Inc. She has also prepared internal newsletters and press releases for Audatex Canada (property and casualty software solutions) and her many event management assignments include the annual two-day conference and Business Achievement Awards Gala for CAMSC (annually since 2015) and The Change Foundation.

Mimi is a graduate student contract professor of Corporate Communications and Government Relations programs at Seneca@York. Her courses have included PR Writing, Media Relations for PR and GR, Internal Communications, Introduction to Research for GR and PR. She’s also the faculty lead for VOICES, an annual public speaking competition for communications, marketing & advertising students at Seneca, Humber, Centennial and Georgian colleges.
