For a second consecutive year, the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has been chosen by the Canadian public as Canada’s Most Respected Retail Bank.
In January 2022, RBC was rated against 13 other national peers by way of a public opinion poll regarding Retail Banking, involving personal, family, branch, and community operations. The research of 3,629 Canadians was undertaken by Maru Public Opinion Research.
TD Bank, Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Montreal were close contenders, and this accomplishment is acknowledged with a Distinguished Recognition designation. Bank of Montreal rose to fourth position from sixth in 2020-21. Candidate organizations are chosen from publicly available industry information, with the ranked results, data tables, and methodology, available on the Award website.
“RBC’s results stem from consistent, positive behaviours from their front-line employees – professionally supported by back-end teams – serving Canadians respectfully every day, every week in every town,” said Jeff Munn, Executive Director, DART I&C Award Program. “This is a wonderful and well-deserved achievement.”
Munn continued, “These Awards are based on independent national public research, not by nominations, write-in efforts or a committee process. We believe corporate respect is now the most valued currency that any company can own.”
Established in November 2020, the DART Insight and Communications (DART I&C) “Most Respected Corporation Program” recognizes and promotes Canadian business entities that excel in delivering respectful behaviours and practices to Canadian consumers
